After getting off the plane I had a few hours to kill, so a dropped all my gear off and set out to shoot the streets of Melbourne. The light was so beautiful it was hard to go wrong. I think I’ve found a new love… street photography

Skating photos

I’ve never shot skating before, so my good mate dale and I got some flashes together – he organised some skaters and before we knew it we were photographing skating down at the tuggeranong skate park in Canberra (something like -2 degrees). Dale had a close call with a stray board flying off into his camera while shooting, smashing the lens hood and (by some miracle) not leaving a scratch on the lens – which I got on video and will be putting online at some stage. We shot one set up each, here are some of mine. Using between 3 and 5 flashes fired with PWs

Sorry it has been a little quiet on the blog as of late – have been very busy so time to catch up with some photos. At the end of May I went to Sydney for the weekend and shot some street. With the lens tapped to 35mm, and manual focus it slowed me down to get into the groove. Here are some of the shots:
