Festa al Colle

Earlier this year, Dale and I were invited out to Festa al Colle (held in the rural town of Il Colle, near Monti in Chianti, in Italy) by the incredibly talented photographer, Lelia Scarfiotti. The festival happens only twice a year and combines all of the pleasures in life – delicious food, wine, music, friends and a great atmosphere! We had all sorts of dramas getting to the festival, (normally around 40 minutes by car) we caught a bus to the wrong town, over an hour away – late of a Friday afternoon. Any chance of public transport, taxi or hire car was completely out of the question. Half a day later (and due to the generosity of an amazing local landscape photographer, who happened to speak english) we managed to make it to the festival and had the absolutely time of our lives! On to the photos… Enjoy!

Jo & Jerry {Wedding Photography Echuca}

Jo and Jerry’s wedding on the Murray River was extra close to my heart for a couple of reasons; as well as being yet another beautiful wedding which I was asked to document, it was my Aunty Jo getting married! Unlike most wedding receptions, there was some interesting entertainment including a magician and an appearance from Peter Garrett (on the dance floor at least!).   The festivities lasted for a couple of days with the guests enjoying the wedding and spending the next morning having breakfast on a paddle steamer. Radda in Chianti {Street Photography in Italy}

Earlier this year I was fortunate enough to be photographing a beautiful wedding in Tuscany, Italy. One of my best mates and fellow photographer Dale also came over and we managed to spend most of our time photographing in the streets (and enjoying the incredible food & wine of the region!) We met some really interesting characters and captured some of my favourite images. Here are a few shots from a small town called Radda in Chianti. We ended up in the town by complete accident as we were trying to make our way to a smaller village for a festival (more on that story in another post!) without any method of transport to leave the village, we made the most of our time here… Enjoy!

Ben and Bron {Sculpture gardens}

Well! What a fun wedding! Ben and Bron had organised this rad side by side bike to ride down the aisle and as soon as I saw the bike I knew we were going to have fun! They were married at the Sculpture Gardens (just behind the NGA) in Canberra and had the reception out near Bungendore at Lark Hill Winery. Now to the pictures!

This wedding was a collaboration with Christine.
