Bring the fun – band promo

One of the first things I started photographing years ago was bands. Music is something I absolutely love and holds a very close place to my heart. So a few weeks ago I did some promo shots for a few local artists, one in particular called Fun machine. To say they were fun, is a little silly and probably an understatement! But we did have a bunch of fun and I thought you might like to see them :)

They’re in the process of organizing a tour and doing some new album stuff. Be sure to keep an eye (and ear) out for these guys. Check them out on myspace http://www.myspace.com/morefunmachine (a couple of favourites, “nintendo in the jungle” and “cougar”.

Mark and Marisha – Reception at Oaks Brassie, Canberra

Mark and Marisha had their wedding with 20 of their closest friends over in Las Vegas, USA. For those that couldn’t make it to the USA, they had a local reception for friends and family back here in Canberra. The reception was at Oaks Brassie in Yarralumla. We shot a few quick location portraits first and then just let the rest of the night unfold. Although we got some beautiful shots, my favourite would have to be the little girl holding her fathers finger. Enjoy

Joe and Georgia at University House ANU

Joe and Georgia were married at St. John’s Church in Reid, Canberra with the reception at University House at ANU. The couple were both very relaxed, with a great sense of humour which made for a really enjoyable day. The weather was kind enough to hold off to get some really beautiful shots. It’s been a little quiet around here lately, so here are some recent food photographs of raw produce; fruit, nuts and vegetables. All of these were shot using natural light, Canon 5D mk II and the 100 f/2.8 Macro lens.

Being true to ones self and their work in so important. These portfolios may not be everyones favourite shots – but they are mine and I’m being true to myself – showing this work. The personal gallery is there simply because they are images I loved shooting and looking at. I’m going to be changing things up around here a little bit over the coming weeks so keep an eye out for a few changes and updates. Craig and Margo

Craig and Margo had a beautiful wedding ceremony in the Senate Courtyard at Old Parliament House in Canberra. The rain held off until we were on location in the old parliament house gardens – thankfully we had enough time with no rain to capture some really nice photos. After the rain the National Library of Australia looked gorgeous with all of the wet stones, unfortunately it got dark very quickly, so we returned to Old Parliament house to get a few more photos before the reception. What a great couple – so much fun and such great sports about the weather – Thank you! Photographed for Esh photography.

Laura and Chris – Canberra wedding photos

Well, what a wedding! Bag pipes, horses, rugby balls, shearing sheds and vintage cars – what an awesome day to photograph! The ceremony was in Kaleen, with some location photos at commonwealth park and at a farm out of town. The day ended with a beautiful reception at the Abbey in Gold creek – making from even more great photos (if there wasn’t enough!).

Did I mention a HORSE! So cool. It was a really fun wedding, thanks a lot to Laura and Chris for being such good sports.

Canberra fashion photography

The landscape surrounding Canberra really defines Canberra for me. The rolling hills in the distance, the trees in autumn, the rocks on hills and the beautiful afternoon sun shinning through the surrounding paddocks. In collaboration with a fashion designer, Emma Chilman we produced the following work. Enjoy!

Ania and Micheal’s Wedding ceremony was in Narrabundah, Canberra. They were a great couple to photograph!

I’m really loving black and white photography at the moment, which is probably quite evident in my favourite selection below and the large number of B&Ws!
