If you have been down to the Gorman House markets in Canberra on a Saturday, there is a fair chance you would have come across Uncle Joe. He sells chooks. He was nice enough to teach us about chickens, and let me take a few shots too.

Beautiful little Ruthie

Hi friends, meet little Ruthie. She is the daughter of my good friends Zoe and Stephen and is basically the cutest little kid you’ll ever see!

She was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and has been receiving great care from Novita Children’s Services. These services are provided to families free of charge and rely on donations to operate. Aaron Posad is participating in the City to Bay run to raise funds for Novita. So please come together and support a great cause, you can donate here. Thank you so much for you support it means so much to so many people!

Also, I will donate $30 for every print that is sold from my online store from now until the 31th of August (this includes Italy and photos of Ruthie). Enjoy a few frames of the gorgeous girl taken on Christmas eve last year.

walking the streets

Vespas zooming past thousand year old buildings, the distant sound of police sirens and foreign accents. My mind starts to slow down and my body starts to feel things that are going on around me. I’m smelling new smells, hearing new sounds and noticing things that people seem to be walking straight past. There is a river of people passing by, flowing to places like the Colosseum and the Vatican, and it seems all I want to do is stand still and experience everything that is happening around me. What is wrong with me? Why aren’t I feeling the overwhelming desire to visit these sites this very instant. Am I broken? Have I missed the point? Or am I starting to experience the world in a different way? I smile to myself and press the shutter.

Megan and Paul

Megan and Paul had an intimate garden ceremony in the Senate Gardens at Old Parliament House, Canberra. The ceremony was relaxed and the weather turned out to be perfect for a garden wedding. We also got to go and play at the Railway Museum and make some cool photos.

Vee and Sandun – Hyatt Hotel Canberra

Vee and Sandun were married at the Hyatt Hotel in Canberra, with the ceremony in the gardens and the reception in the Centenary Ballroom.

Documenting such a personal and intimate day as a wedding is such a beautiful and rewarding experience, thank you Vee and Sandun for letting me share your day with you. I am so very lucky and grateful for being able to do what I do.

Kee and Ricky

The day combined Chinese wedding traditions and Australian traditions to become a really interesting and fun day. Early in the day there was the excitement around the wedding door games where the bride and groom see each other before the ceremony and later in the reception some other funny games were played where a shoe represented the answer to some amusing questions! Kee and Ricky had their ceremony and reception at the Alto Restaurant in Telstra Tower. Thanks Ricky and Kee for such a beautiful and enjoyable day!

Jean and Kenny

Rain in Febuary, who would have thought? Thankfully Jean and Kenny had a back up plan for their wedding at Old Parliament house. The ceremony was moved from the gardens, inside to one of the members rooms. The rain didn’t stop anyone from having a great time and making for some great photos. Below are some of my favourites:

Natalie and Kedem – Canberra wedding photography

Natalie and Kedem were married in Glebe park, Canberra on a beautifully warm day in January. The ceremony mixed Jewish traditions, with Australian traditions to create a unique experience. After the ceremony we went to the National Library for a few photos, before heading back to the Crowne Plaza in the city to get on with some Salsa and the reception.
