A few shots from the street

Having very limited access to the internet over the last couple of weeks is taking its toll. I’m starting to get the shakes, one of my eye’s is twitching and I’m resorting to watching TV in the evenings. Seriously, I’ve watched more TV in the last two weeks that in the last two years. It’s kinda scary (and not to mention horrible – how are some of these shows on air?). Anyway, back on topic – not much internet = not much of a chance to put images up on the blog. Well thankfully, I prepared a couple of shots for ya’ll. The first is from a recent trip to Sydney, these two gentlemen look to be best of mates. Hanging out reading the paper seems to be one of the favourite past times. The next two portraits are from Canberra. Iza is visiting from France and Jacob is a Canberra local. I just love meeting people, spending a few minutes with them and taking their portrait. It’s good for the soul. I do find Canberra to be the hardest place to capture portraits on the street. I’m not really sure why, but its much more difficult here than anywhere else. Anyway, to the pictures!

Jenny and Justin {Canberra Wedding Photography}

Talk about a crazy few weeks, rain rain and more rain! Six out of the last 10 days have been raining in Canberra and Jenny & Justin’s wedding was no exception. Thankfully the rain held out long enough for the ceremony to proceed outside and within about 15 mins of its conclusion, the skies opened and it absolutely bucketed down! I’ve never been so drenched, so quickly at a wedding before! Despite this Jenny & Justin were great sports and the rain didn’t fuss them one bit. We soldiered on and captured some beautiful images. Here are some of my favourites, enjoy! The whole gallery is here

Uncle Joe’s Chooks

If you have been down to the Gorman House markets in Canberra on a Saturday, there is a fair chance you would have come across Uncle Joe. He sells chooks. He was nice enough to teach us about chickens, and let me take a few shots too.

Vee and Sandun – Hyatt Hotel Canberra

Vee and Sandun were married at the Hyatt Hotel in Canberra, with the ceremony in the gardens and the reception in the Centenary Ballroom.

Documenting such a personal and intimate day as a wedding is such a beautiful and rewarding experience, thank you Vee and Sandun for letting me share your day with you. I am so very lucky and grateful for being able to do what I do.

Here are some of my favourites from the day. For the photographers out there, shot on 5D’s with the 24L, 85L, 24-70L, 70-200L.
